Sea Life Oberhausen: Discover the home of Paul the Octopus

Behold Paul the enigmatic oracle! The world renowned octopus lives in the Sea Life Aquarium of Oberhausen. As part of the RUHR area the city is also a part of the European Captial of Culture RUHR.2010. Visit Paul and discover other exciting and interesting places in Oberhausen such as the Gasometer. This 117 meters high monument is considered the Cathedral of Industrial Culture. Formerly the single largest disc-type gas holder in Europe, it serves as one of the most fascinating exhibition halls nowadays. Over 750.000 people have visited the current exhibition “Out of this World - Wonders of the Solar System” so far. Welcome to Germany, where tradition meets modernity!
